GALVANIZATION (zinc, nickel plating, chrome plating)

Unis Ltd provides galvanizing services consisting of the galvanizing line at which we perform zinc, nickel plating and chrome plating.

 

GALVANIZATION

The zinc plating is primarily used for corrosion protection (mostly low-alloy steel construction) as well as for decorative purposes. In order to increase the corrosion resistance of zinc and to achieve decorative properties, the zinc plated surface is subjected to a chemical passivation process after washing. Special protection features provide double protection, such as the zinc plating and creasing, as well as zink plating and varnishing. By applying these systems, anticorrosive properties increase considerably.

• Galvanization on the carriers
Maximum dimension of items:
- length do 3000 mm
- height do 1700 mm
- width do 750 mm
The coating thickness according to DIN and ISO standards is 8 to 14 microns.

• Galvanization in the drums
Small items such as screwdrivers, tiles, diamonds, nuts, etc. are clamped in drums.
• Drums have a capacity of approx. 50 kg (depending on the type of goods)
• The smallest dimension of items we can soak is 1.5 mm in diameter (eg 1.5 mm cord wavelength).
• The coating thickness may be from 8 to 14 microns.

NICKEL PLATING

Nickel plating is done with the aim of obtaining a coating of very good anti-corrosive and decorative properties.
Glossy nickel-plating is characterized by high gloss, even at low coating thickness, as well as good leveling of the surface, so that subsequent polishing of the object is not necessary.
Great nickel plating is a great high gloss anti-corrosion coating, which has been used for decorative purposes as a chromium substrate for decorative chroming.

CHROMING

Chroming is done with the aim of obtaining a coating of very good anti-corrosive and decorative properties. The surface intended for chroming must be smooth and shiny, so only objects made of light drawn, cold rolled or mechanically grinded and polished surfaces are considered. Decorative chrome serves as an anti-corrosion shield of brilliant nickel and gives decorative appearance to the overlays - high gloss.
